The Ewing Public Schools is one of only 433 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the 7th Annual AP® District Honor Roll for increasing access to AP course work while simultaneously maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams. Perhaps most significant is that this is the second consecutive year the Ewing Schools have received this honor, a rare occurrence.
Over the past several years, the Ewing High School softball program has emerged as one of the stronger programs in the state, and this past month three senior standouts who have been a large part of the program’s success solidified their college commitments. Senior pitcher/shortstop Danielle Rinaldi signed with Wesleyan Universtiy, Senior third baseman Alexis Pope, committed to continue her softball career at Rochester University and Catcher/Shortshop Kourtney Schneider, a vocal field leader has committed to Penn State-Abington. The spirit is alive at Ewing High School and members of the Mercer County community as they unite in generosity to bring a little extra sweetness into the lives of families this holiday season. On Monday, December 19th, 30 students from four different clubs at Ewing High School (Project Unify, the Rotary Club, the Key Club, and the Culinary Club) joined together to make 29 pies for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. Throughout the 2016-17 school year, the administration of The Ewing Public Schools has been working hard in the planning, creation and establishment of a Community Transitions Program for the neediest students of the community. Over the past several years, the Life Skills program at the high school has expanded considerably. The program serves students with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Ewing Schools' Business Office was recently honored for its achievement in the areas of financial records keeping and employee safety awarenesss. The Burlington County Joint Insurance Fund recognized the district for its outstanding audit performance and for achieving the highest levels of local safety awareness as measured by the group's Safety Incentive Program.
